The Costa Ladera Foundation was established to fund local neighborhood improvements and social programs that give back to the community. Baja 1000 Development Group has committed a grant to the foundation's projects equal to 1% of all sales, which includes a highway beautification initiative that will establish a new sense of arrival to Ensenada, and a program in support of the area schools to enhance technology and provide a more competitive salary base for teachers.

An Economic Impact Study from Ensenada-based CETYS University estimates that once complete, the Costa Ladera community will create a over 3000 new permanent jobs, will have an annual economic impact of more than $67 million and will be a primary catalyst for a burgeoning hospitality industry, economic growth and job creation in Ensenada’s new Gateway District.
